China Xi'an City Wall

One of the most important land marks of the city of Xi’an, the city wall is a tourist attraction, standing 12 metres tall and covering 13 point 7 kilometres with a deep moat surrounding it. It served as defence against invasion in ancient times with a huge suspense bridge which would cut off the way in and around the city once lifted.
