My First Year Animation project here at Concordia in the Film Animation Program at the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema or MHSoC. This concept came out of the fact that Montréal is a very vertical city with lots of stairs. This film also allowed me to combine both pencil animation with cut-out animation. It was shot on 16mm film on an Oxberry Senior camera stand. Stairs are very interesting in how they really are a feat of movement and skill, yet also endurance. They are both annoying and exhilarating. Hope you enjoy.
