Where The Dead Come Back To Life First off: Masking is one of the least fun things to do on a video, but I really really REALLY like how it came out at the beginning of this vid. Making the kiss, however (which is what 0:55 to 0:58 is supposed to be) was not quite as rewarding. It did take about two hours, though. Ha ha. I also discovered audio effects, and in an effort to keep this from being taken down, I added some reverb in the back. It also sounds very ghostly, which I think fits the idea of the contest. People who may have been watching me for a while will also know that I did a FFX video to this song last year. However, I have always wanted to do one with my Vegas Effects. In fact, I really like how the premise of this came out, so I will probably be expanding on it. The vid isn't in order of the story, but does mostly follow it. Living with your regrets is hard, but living with the knowledge that you could have saved someone is harder. Kairi knows this all too well. Everything had been perfect. They were young, in love, had a beautiful place to live. He was back from the fighting, finally, after too many battles. Finally home. Finally safe. It all happened so fast. Everything was breaking apart again, like it had in the beginning, and suddenly the ground was gone. She only had just a ledge, and he was slipping. His hand wildly grasping for hers was all that kept him from falling into the ocean below. "Sora!" she screamed, dropping down to reach towards him. He stared up at her with wide, scared eyes, and then he slipped right out of her fingers. She scrambled over the ledge to try and reach, but it was too late. She could see him sinking into the ocean. It was as though he'd taken her heart with him. She didn't feel anything anymore. Sometimes the numbness was so severe that she couldn't feel the tears. Now, Kairi stands on the shore, watching, waiting, hoping. Hoping she'll see her lover return from the depths, and that they can reunite. Someday, she tells herself, he'll come back. He'll give her feeling again. He'll bring color to the dull gray scale of her life. He can't be dead. He can't be gone. She won't accept it.
