Previously known as Rep Your Style, Culture Circle is a battle aimed at pushing the boundaries of individuals, be it in the professional category or the amateur category. The reason for the change of the event name this year is due to the fact that Rep Your Style is a name of an existing event originated in New York; and we wanted to keep our event name unique after this was known to us. Also we hope that with a new battle format this year, we can drive the community up a higher notch!

This year, we have 2 categories: Open & Amateur
The Amateur category is for those who have not gotten through any auditions for the past 3 years, and any dancers that the organiser feels is suitable for the category. If you do not fall under the criteria stated above, you are in the Open category.

Open
We have seen experienced dancers constantly outperforming themselves and have seen multiple dancers clinching first at different battles. Hence, we hope this platform creates a tougher ground for the experienced, so that they can feel motivated to push further and outperform every single round so as to defend their titles.

Amateurs
We have always felt that direct exchange with someone stronger than us in a Battle is the best way to learn. Hence, we hope the amateurs get the opportunity to learn from these exchanges first hand as well. Through this battle, we want to encourage and and help the amateurs realise that they are not beneath the Professionals. If they push and work hard enough, they can surpass the Professionals one day.

Summary
We hope to bring everyone to a common ground so as to make it possible to rise to a higher ground together.

SO HERE'S THE FORMAT!
ALL STYLES 2V2!
Audition round for both Open & Amateur Categories will be held together.

Top 16 will be chosen from each category, after which, both categories will FACE OFF!

5 judges makes up a total of 10 points.
Open category is handicapped with 3 POINTS down. Thus for the open category to win, they are required to have 3 points more than the amateurs to win.
