Here's some video I shot of the eastbound Amtrak Southwest Chief traveling through Gorin, Missouri on June 10th, 2011. Seeing Amtrak running through here is always exciting, as the track speed through here reaches 90 MPH in many places. While I'm unsure how fast the train was going on this day, it's a safe bet it wasn't much slower than that! As an added bonus, we have some "private varnish" on the end of the train - one of the Friends of 261's Milwaukee Road passenger cars, the "Superdome" #53!
