Yes it is!

I try to talk a lot more to avoid it being boring... Anyways

Castlevania BloodLines
An extremely good Castlevania game that revolves around tow characters, Eric Lecarde, and John Morris. Both must fight through 6 spooky stages to confront the embodiment of evil, Count Dracula!

The game plays just like most old school castlevania games: Move from point A to Point B while battling many enemies, gaining sub weapons, jumping on platforms, and so on. This One however, adds many new elements. Firstly, John Morris, who plays similar to the Belmonts in previous Castlevania Titles can swing from ceilings using the Vampire Killer (His whip). in addition, he can aim his whip forward, down, and diagonally up. In addition, both him and Eric have access to what seems to be an early form of the Item Crushes introduced in later castlevanias, in which they'll unleash a more powerful version of their basic sub weapon at the cost of more hearts. As for Eric Lecarde, he fights with his trusty spear which was given to him by Alucard, the son of Dracula at some point in the Castlevania chronology. This spear can aim straight up when Eric's on the ground, and straight down when he's in the air. Eric Lecarde can also do a super jump that helps get past some obstacles and reach higher areas in the game. Both characters are considerably balanced among each other.

The stage design in magnificent. If it isn't the beautiful backgrounds that catch your eye, it's the large amount of gimmicks in each stage that help keep each stage unique and interesting. There's usually more than one boss on each stage (Stage 2 has 4 I think), which is also a good factor in my book.

This happens to be LuizPrower's favorite Castlevania in the series, and he eventually got me interested in it enough to try it out, and I must say, I'm pleased with what I see.

I plan to do a full runthrough of this game, so keep your eyes peeled for the next parts!
