More information in the description below:

4 ぅ▶ 't4 (hex:7C)'s core function will steal other Trainer's Pokémon, but its unterminated name usually causes the game to freeze. This can be avoided with an exploit to write a hex:50 sub-tile (appearing as a glitch tile in battle) at the top-left corner of the screen, such as with an unmodified game with arbitrary code execution (or simpler but requires an external device: GameShark).

It is much similar to the equivalent glitch items in Japanese Yellow. In v1.1 of Japanese Yellow and beyond, you will need to patch it with a hex:50 sub-tile as well, but in v1.0 of Japanese Yellow all you have to do is use it. (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EKlV-lR4Lg ).

Note it seems this can't be used to capture wild Pokémon.

Additionally, I haven't tested this glitch item in French, German, Italian and Spanish Yellow yet. It's possible there are versions which work like this, or even like the Japanese Yellow v1.0 version (in which all you have to do is use the glitch item against a Trainer with no other setup)

Setup:

If you have GameShark:

Have at least one item in advance, and then enable the following codes:

017C1DD3
0150A0C3

These codes will allow you to use 4 ぅ▶ 't4 (hex:7C) against Trainers to steal their Pokémon. It has advantages over 010156D0 in that you don't have to disable it before and outside of the Trainer battle.

Arbitrary code execution:

0. First get the expanded items pack and get glitch items
