One of the hazards of flying low-level over cherry trees when providing cherry blowing/drying services in Washington state is birds. Several of the orchards we're responsible for drying have resident owls. This is great for the orchardist -- owls keep away the birds that eat the cherries. But owls are large and tend to wait until the last minute to leave their perch. This is a typical owl encounter. And no, we haven't hit one yet.
