A major milestone in combating chronic disease took place in Moscow on April 25, 2011?the first ever global ministerial conference on healthy lifestyles and non communicable diseases (NCDs). Please join CSIS on Wednesday, May 4, for a briefing on the outcomes of this conference and next steps in the lead up to the September UN High Level Meeting on Non Communicable Diseases. Panelists will includetwo members of the U.S. delegation in Moscow: Rosie Henson, Senior Policy Advisor, Office of the Assistant Secretary of Health, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services; and Yolanda Richardson, Vice President, International Programs, Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids. J. Stephen Morrison, CSIS Senior Vice President and Director of the CSIS Global Health Policy Center, will moderate. James Hospedales of PAHO, Paul Holmes of USAID, Loyce Pace-Bass of Livestrong, and Laurent Huber of the Framework Convention Alliance will also offer commentary.
