Every year the issue of minimum wage, job cuts and working conditions in the mining industry takes centre stage and called for a review of these issues. However, these conversations have become more vital than ever as we further enter the 4th Industrial Revolution, where technological advancement through machinery and digital platforms are set to replace thousands of jobs in the mining industry - and for a developing nation like South Africa, is this sustainable and how are we preparing for this transformation in mining.
