Next university will not be a hierarchy of colleges and departments, but a system of networks of faculty expertise, empirically informed advising, and compassionate student support. 

Dr. Lanning is a Professor and Faculty Assistant to the President of FAU and Editor-in-Chief of Analyses of Social Issues and Public Policy. He received his doctorate in psychology from UC Berkeley. 

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
