UO economics professor Jason Lindo led a study, published in April 2010, that found the probability for dropping out of college doubles for men, but not women, who are placed on academic probation after their freshman year. Especially hit hard, and as a surprise to researchers, were men who had done well in high school classwork. In this video, Lindo briefly discusses his findings.
