Trump on Mexico border tension, GM job cuts

(26 Nov 2018) President Donald Trump on Monday defended border agents' actions along the Mexico-US border, after they fired teargas to stop migrants trying to come into the country. "They had to use because they were being rushed by tough people," Trump said on the driveway at the White House. "Here's the bottom line, nobody is coming into our country unless the come in legally," he added. Trump also blamed poor car sales on General Motors after the company announced it would lay off 14,700 factory and white-collar workers in North America. GM will also put five plants up for possible closure as it restructures to cut costs and focus more on autonomous and electric vehicles. "I don't like it," said Trump. "This country has done a lot for General Motors, you better get back in there soon, that's Ohio and you better get back in there soon."
