An old Checkered Cab from the 1970's in New York City, an Ambassador Brougham, a 1966 GMC Fishbowl, and a 1961 Studebaker Champ all bask in the sun.  Now, some of you might be saying "holy shit....what are the odds that all of these old timers happened to be in the same place at the same time?"  Well, they were all here for a reason.  I know, its a shameless bump/plug for this TV show, but I am on it, so who cares?  It is a new TV show that will be on ABC called Life On Mars.  It is about a detective who has a mysterious accident and is brought back to the year 1973.  I am a background actor, and I happen to be in many scenes with the main character's (Jason O'Mara and Gretchen Mol).  Unfortunately, I am not allowed to be taking video during filming, which would have been nice since the bus and the cars would all have been running.  However, I did the next best thing and took video during our lunch break.  Anyway, here is a breakdown of some of the cars used.  The Checkered Cab is one that was actually used in NYC.  I believe it was built in the early 1970's, but I could be wrong.  The Ambassador Brougham was built in 1971, I think.  The GMC Fishbowl is from 1966.  It is privately owned, so you won't see it on fan trips, unfortunately.  Check out the route signs and the other markings.  It looks good for its age.  Then, we come to the Studebaker.  It is a 1961 Studebaker Champ pick-up truck.  I like the white wall tires that it is sporting.  Some of the other cars were a 1967 Pontiac GTO, a 1973 Lincoln Continental, a 1970 SS 454, a 1967 Ford Falcon, and a 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass.
