NOTE:  This tango is one of the earlier recordings of Chór Dana, made before the first reform of ensemble’s personnel in 1931. The sound of the band was in that time really passionate, dramatic and very appealing to all the Argentine-tango lovers. Also, a long stylish canto by Mieczysław Fogg which opens the recording is the additional part of beauty of this performance.  I like this tango a lot also for its lyrics, which can be added to the anthology of the purest prewar lyrical grafomania. The refrains’ beginning line is: I play this tango for you…”  and after that, the  verse goes on with the words:… before the charms of your body’s fresh bud / will be passed from hands to hands…” (In Polish: „...Nim wdzięków twych świeży pąk / będzie szedł z rąk do rąk).
