http://tedxpowellriver.com/  Harvey Chometsky is a working artist who has lived in Powell River, BC for the past 18 years. Born in Saskatchewan, he moved with his family to a little logging town on the Fraser River in Northern British Columbia.

Artist, poet, philosopher, and entrepreneur, Harvey Chometsky has devoted the past forty years of his life to the advancement of human creativity. He has worked as curator for public and private galleries and has curated over a hundred art exhibitions. He has been the feature of numerous articles and has frequently appeared on network television. He has worked as a media consultant for many years and has conceived and executed a number of campaigns, including an incumbent Member of Parliament's election campaign.

He has exhibited his work in Berlin, New Orleans, San Francisco, Minneapolis,
Winnipeg, and Vancouver.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
