How to Make a Renaissance Tunic

This is a man's style Renaissance tunic. (This is an older tutorial I filmed a while ago and never got around to posting it, so the vid and sound quality are a bit less than usual, and I don't have a materials list for it, but it's mostly just fabric, trim, scissors, sewing machine, and cording) 

If you want to take shortcuts, you can skip the lining on this Renaissance tunic, but the silky inside makes it more comfortable and look more regal. The tunic can be worn with or without an undershirt, but any shirt you wear under it should have somewhat baggy sleeves, and you may want to sew a little gold trim on the sleeve ends to match the gold trim on the tunic as I did here. The free template for this tunic can be downloaded at TheWoodlandElf.com/patterns/tunic. It's on a graph, so just use some graph paper to enlarge it to your size. The Renaissance tunic bottom should hang just above your knee.
