Over the past two years, I've been writing a piece entitled "The Outs and Ins: A Study in the Ineffable." It's a song cycle about the inability of words to define the human experience. The show is comprised of ten stand alone songs, which center around experiences that individuals have had in contrast to the labels that are used to define them.

Earlier this year, the show was produced at The University of Michigan for the first time. Here is a video from that performance.

I wanted to give a huge thank you to my amazing cast, band, and creators. Without all of your help, we never would have been able to get the show to where it is now, and I never could have had the incredible and essential experience of seeing the work on its feet.
