I did this super cheap protective style with kanekalon hair a few months back, but never shared it..the quality of the pics isn't the best but you can still get a grasp of how I did this crochet protective style with Kanekalon hair or the braiding hair.

 I crocheted the kanekalon hair, then blow dried(used Conair blow dryer with comb) the hair until it was straight and then cut it to make a bang and level the back. 

*I used 5 packs of hair because the hair gets really thin after being blow dried, but I still wanted fullness.
