Jonathan Gibbs will detail why natural gas is the best solution for the future of aviation, the environment and the global economy. In the second half the of talk, Mr. Gibbs will show us how the very first purpose built LNG aircraft will be better than anything we have seen before

Jonathan Gibbs is the president of the Savion Aerospace Corporation, a company dedicated to bringing cleaner energy to aviation by building aircraft with tangible improvements to customer experience and lower operating costs. Mr. Gibbs founded the company with a fellow graduate student while competing in the M.I.T. CleanEnergy Prize in 2011. Mr. Gibbs has worked as an aerodynamicist in productdevelopment for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, as a researcher in M.I.T.’s Lab for Aviation and the Environment, and for the German Aerospace Center’s (DLR) Institute of Air Transport Systems in Hamburg. Mr. Gibbs specializes in inverse aircraft design for alternative energy and market share. Mr. Gibbs holds a bachelor’s of science degree and a master’s of science degree in aeronautics and astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
