For this year's R.AGE Christmas special, we bring performing artists to surprise urban poor families in Malaysia with gifts of music, food and a few special surprises: http://rage.com.my/christmastime

This episode, singer Bihzhu and a few famous friends (Chelsia Ng, Fang Chyi, Raja Farouque, and Sean Chong) visit three Pakistani families who are seeking asylum in Malaysia. As their application for asylum is still being processed, the parents cannot work and the children cannot go to school.

While Bihzhu and friends supplied the music, the R.AGE team granted the families' Christmas wish by setting up a Christmas tree at their home, with gifts under the tree for the children.

Refugees and asylum seekers are often neglected because they are not seen as citizens. But by leaving them in poverty, the economy in general suffers.

R.AGE decided to highlight the struggles of families like these through our "Christmastime in the City" project, which supports the Malaysian Care's RM20 Challenge.
