DLS Biles quote "It is not normal to receive that kind of treatment from a trusted team physician who referred to it as the ''special'' treatment."Now 20 years old, Biles was a key member of the US gymnastics team at the 2016 Rio Olympics... winning four golds. She has now joined a number of top-level gymnasts who have accused Larry Nassar of sexual abuse. The former national team doctor was sentenced last month to 60 years in prison, on federal child pornography charges. He is facing another sentencing this week after pleading guilty to additional counts of criminal sexual conduct.Describing her struggle to go public with her story since the scandal broke, Biles said that the more she tried to shut off the voice in side her head, the louder it screamed... The experience still haunts her as the gymnast aims to qualify for the next Olympic Games. DLS Biles quote "It is impossibly difficult to relive these experiences and it breaks my heart even more to think that as I work towards my dream of competing in Tokyo 2020, I will to have to continually return to the same training facility where I was abused."The head of USA Gymnastics resigned following the scandal.
