Kirtan is singing mantra with people. It's usually singing Indian music with white people who have been to India in the west, but it can sometimes be the super silly fun of singing Indian mantras with Indian people in the West too. I went to one in Guatemala and I cried. It's more addictive than it sounds and way better than you think.
