In a big setback to BJP, the Supreme Court has allowed CBI plea challenging the withdrawal of criminal conspiracy charges against senior BJP leaders including L.K Advani, Murali Manohar Joshi and Uma Bharati. This means the criminal conspiracy charges against the leaders will continue in the Babri Masjid demolition case. The Supreme court has also directed Lucknow trial court to conduct day to day hearings and also hold the CBI to ensure prosecution  witness in the case.
