BJP workers are allegedly circulating a WhatsApp post saying that former Deputy CM R Ashoka's wife would be contesting from Mandya instead of Dr Siddaramaiah. Dr Siddaramaiah's candidature from Mandya has led to rampant opposition from within the party. This has led to the speculation that BJP might change its candidate from Mandya.
