The Temple Mount, claimed by Muslims to be Islam's third holiest site, was the location this weekend of a mass (Muslim only) snowball fight and frolic in the snow following a storm which visited Jerusalem at the end of last week. The Temple Mount, which is so "holy" to Muslims that they violently oppose any non-Muslim worship on the Mount, (a violation of human rights unfortunately enforced by the Israel police), is apparently not so holy as to forbid frivolous and disrespectful behavior when performed by Muslims. The Temple Mount is regularly desecrated by Muslims, who use it as a sports field, playing soccer and as a playground where youths practice gymnastic flips and martial arts, all within the confines of the courtyard surrounding where the Holy Temple and Holy of Holies stood. The fact that the Dome of the Rock currently stands on this spot does not deter the allegedly devout Muslims from defending the desecration and even even taking part in it on the rare occasions when the police attempt to break it up. The sporting events, the summer camps for children, the terror rallies in which the flags of Hamas and ISIS are hoisted above the crowd and incitement to the murder of Jews is broadcast, and the gangs of Muslim men, women and, more recently, children, who follow and harass Jewish worshipers on the Mount all point very clearly to the fact that the Temple Mount possesses no real sacred value to Muslims, and the canard of holiness is being exploited by Muslim for the purpose of denying and denigrating the Jewish connection to the Temple Mount and undermining Israeli sovereignty in Jerusalem and Israel.
