i connected a variable resistor between one of the speaker cables. for the variable resistor i used is a pressure sensitive touchpad made from layers of conductive fabric (or thread) and ex-static plastic (http://www.instructables.com/id/Flexible-Fabric-Touch-Pad/). i hooked the vibrating motor up to the speaker output so that it vibrates in rhythm to the melody played. the motor rests on top of the pressure sensor so that the vibrations influence the resistance. in a way this creates a circle of output that modifies itself, which i like.
another thing i tried was to simply place the motor on top of the loudspeaker and let it's vibrations influence the speaker output directly in that way. these were just two simple modifications, but i like the idea of creating some kind of feedback loop. and also to include some kind of mechanical device that influences the circuit.

one thing i realized is that it's not so easy to find a place to do circuit bending, without getting on people's nerves because of all the crazy noise.
