Step-by-step instructions of a variation for week 7 of the Scheepjes Crochet ALong 2014. In this variation the flower in the center of the granny has a double layer of petals resulting in a fuller fill of the center of the granny.

Pattern:
Row 1 like original pattern
Row 2A: Ch6, [sk1, 2sc, 2hdc, dc] in ch6, sl st in front loop of next dc from round 1, sl st to front loop of next dc*, repeat ** 7 times, fasten off.
Row 2B: Tie on a new color in back loop of st between two petals and pick up loop. Ch6, [sk1, 2sc, 2hdc, dc] in ch6, sl st in back loop of next dc from round 1, sl st to back loop of next dc*, repeat ** 7 times, fasten off.
Row 3: With a slip knot on your hook, start in the top sc of one of the points. *sc, ch2, sc, ch2 [dc, ch2, dc] in next point, ch2, sc, ch2*, repeat ** 3 times, join with sl st to first sc of this round.
Row 4: Ch3, 3dc in ch2 sp, skip sc, 3dc in ch2 sp, dc, [2dc, ch2, 2dc] in ch2 sp, *dc, 3dc in ch2 sp, skip sc, 3dc in ch2 sp, dc, 3dc in ch2 sp, skip sc, 3dc in ch2 sp, dc, [2dc, ch2, 2dc] in ch2 sp*, repeat ** 2 times, dc, 3dc in ch2 sp, skip sc, 3dc in ch2 sp, join with ss to top of beg ch3.
Row 5 to 9 like original pattern.
