Here's my own Day the Music Died scene. It's Gobo's turn to sing. Then the karaoke machine breaks. Everybody's disappointed. Then Rosita goes to get her guitar and she and Gobo arrive on the stage with their guitars so they can perform Shine On, Shine on Me during the karaoke night.
