This film was presented to the United Nations in New York, on September 30, 1985, by a small group of Hopi Elders from the village of Hotevillla, Arizona. The Hopi Prophecy was presented at a special conference organized by Angus Archer, Chief of UN Liaison Services. The conference was chaired by Miles Stolby, President of the Economic and Social Council, ECOSOC. The heart of the Hopi Prophecy message was a key factor in the United Nations' decision to establish the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues, as an adivsory body to ECOSOC. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Nations_Permanent_Forum_on_Indigenous_Issues Kathleen Grasso Andersen Rainy Mountain Society of Indigenous Peoples
