Jack Crosby was one of six recipients to receive the Texas Exes 2009 Distinguished Alumnus Award on October 9. This is the acceptance speech he gave at the event. Crosby received a BBA in 1949 from The University of Texas at Austin. He lives in Austin and is an international telecommunications pioneer and philanthropist. He is chairman of the Rust Group, a private investment partnership with interests in cable television, media entertainment, banking and real estate development.
