In small towns and villages across the UK, getting hold of good quality medical and social care can be extremely challenging. Poor transport links and lack of funding often lead to a feeling of isolation for communities and individuals away from city hubs.
Rebecca Stanley works with Community Catalysts in a pioneering new social care project. By creating micro-services in local communities, Community Catalysts harness the natural entrepreneurial spirit and resources of local communities to provide high-quality local care services. 
Her work encapsulates the spirit of ‘Think Global, Act Local.’ By bringing cutting edge ideas and research to isolated locations by empowering local communities, Rebecca’s work has helped hundreds of individuals receive high quality care across the UK. Here, Rebecca shares her ideas on empowering local communities to create change and how to creatively solve problems on tiny budgets.
