Aldrine breaks his slipper. The airlines loses one of Ryan's bags. Our rental car company closes before we can pick up our car. NucDoc & Bugoy pick us up from the airport and drive us to our hotel because they are awesome. September 30 - Moonlight Beach Strummers (Encinitas, CA). Frank Leong is the coolest, right along with Rick Douglas. We meet some really cool UUers. Aldrine gets a standing O. October 1st - Landon comes over to our hotel first thing in the morning to get a uke lesson from Aldrine. Drive towards LA and stop off at Greg's house to unload our bags before heading up to Casa Princesa in LA. Meet some awesome new UUers at the show. Head back to Greg's house. Have a late night jam session with Greg's many ukes before hitting the hay. October 2nd - Sleep in late. Barbeque at Greg's. Search all grocery stores in the vicinity for Choco Tacos before settling for It's Its. October 3rd - Drive over to the SoCal Uke Festival (Cerritos, CA) bright and early to set up. RicDoug brings his portable sound system and sets it up at our booth. Sammy shows up first to jam with Aldrine, followed by a whole gang of UUers who don't stop rocking out on their ukes for the entire duration of the festival (upping the awesome of our booth tremendously). Aldrine teaches a seminar to 100+ people. Derrick Sebastian, Dominator, Joe Souza, Ukulele Bart, Gerald Ross, and more show up to perform at the booth. BruddahMark deaches us some of his apparel.
