What are YOUR favorite effects in After Effects? Let us know in the comments! In this video, see which four plugins our Motion Graphic Artist, Trent Armstrong, recommends for After Effects.

Top 4 After Effects Plugins:

1. Fractal Noise is included in After Effects and is great for use with clouds, to star fields, to streaks.

2. Gradient Wipe allows you to reveal or take away parts of an image which is great for getting rid of bright spots, dark places, or can be used as a wipe.

3. Set Matte uses different parts of an image to create opacity and transparency.

4. Beam effect is great for creating 3-D shapes and even lightsabers. It draws a line across the screen between two points.
