So this stage got a lot more spiky than previously. And not just with the presence of actual spikes, but we also have blocks that have needles that poke out of each side of it at regular intervals. Those aren't instant-death, but what is instant-death are the pillars of spiked balls at the end. They travel across the whole screen, so to avoid them, you have to hide behind the glass windows and move past the pillars.
Needle Man has also had a change, as he only fires two shots of his Needle Cannon normally, but those shots bounce around the room like Gemini Laser. He will also fire a barrage of shots into the air which will rain down on your position. And instead of getting the Needle Cannon as a weapon, we get his closer range attack.
