Miss ya, Pops. The song is mostly joyful, as was dad.... but it has a dark section. He had many dark days and thoughts, but would always rebound with brighter thoughts for the future. The solo section at the end represents his relationship with Christ, especially towards the end of his life. The very end is a small lament. p.s. - I edited him in, at the minute mark. I tried to take a little clip and make it sound in tune with the song.
