Here's my Alaska/Sheng Yuan 8" desk fan, model 080715. I bought this fan at a flea market for Rp. 20.000. It wasn't working properly though. The high speed winding was open, and when switched on, it sparks a lot. I later brought it to a motor rewinding guy, and it's good to go again.

This fan is a Taiwanese fan. And since Taiwanese fans aren't always good, there are some flaws here and there. For example, the back motor cover has plenty of air vents, but the front one has none, and if i screw in the bottom panel all the way, the switch bottoms out, and won't press in. 

I'm not exactly sure if this fan is made for Alaska (now Uchida/Maspion), or just another Alaska brand since they both share the same logo, but with different colours.
