This is another great Sonny Landreth innovation and a hallmark of his sound. Its another fresh, new approach to slide guitar and the guitar in general! Up until now weve been trying to MUTE all the strings behind the slide so they dont make unwanted noise. Now were going to do the opposite and let the harmonics ring out - It opens up what Sonny calls the Wild Side of the Slide. Check out Sonny Landreth for more inspiration.
