(3 Dec 2018) Yemeni officials say some 50 rebels wounded in fighting have arrived at the airport in Sanaa to fly to neighbouring Oman for treatment. Their evacuation later on Monday on an Ethiopian Airways aircraft is one of the conditions set by the Houthi rebels to participate in peace talks to begin in Sweden later this week in the latest diplomatic bid to end Yemen's civil war, which is in its fourth year. UN Envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths arrived Monday in Sanaa where he was expected to hold last-minute talks with the rebels on the talks, according to the officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to brief the media. The officials say Griffiths was likely to leave for Sweden Tuesday with rebel delegates.
