So Tegel Airport in Berlin no longer exists. It has been closed down in 2021. I know it was a bit of a shabby and sometimes uncomfortable place, but I liked it. Usually arrived early to get myself a Currywurst and a drink before flying back home. I have seen that airport a 100 times from the inside. 
Landing at Tegel often provided me with spectacular views of central Berlin...

The TXL bus brought me straight to Alexanderplatz in less than 30 minutes. So now the former Schönefeld Airport has turned into Berlin Brandenburg Airport, being the main airport for Berlin. Haven't been there yet. But of course I frequently flew from the old Schönefeld Airport. The connection with central Berlin is appears to be excellent. You can now just take the S-bahn from for example Hauptbahnhof or Alexanderplatz that brings you straight to the airport without changing trains. But the of course you'll have to use the designated Airport Express Train (FEX). If you take the regular S-bahn you most likely have to change trains at Ostkreuz, which isn't a big deal either.
