This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Exhale Dancers: The Tribe: This piece embodies the beautiful color we all emit as energetic beings walking the earth. In passing we return to color. A spectrum of colors so bright we can't imagine it as humans. Choreography by: Missy Lay Zimmer and Andrew Hubbard. Dancers include: Alisa Wright, Jacob Thorman, Sarah Emmons, Katie Farry and Courtney Howard.

Exhale Dance Tribe was a vision of ours while living in NYC dancing on Broadway. As dance educators and professional dancer/choreographers, we felt the need to reconnect dancers to the original intention of dance: Storytelling. Exhale Dance Tribe is Cincinnati’s first Contemporary Jazz Dance company. Exhale celebrates the full range of modern and rhythm-based dance and features diverse, versatile performers. Exhale Dance Tribe is rooted in rhythmic storytelling existing to leave an emotional imprint on our audiences. The dancers performing are: Alisa Wright, Jacob Thorman, Sarah Emmons, Katie Farry and Courtney Howard.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
