G-20 Approves Greater Role for Emerging Economies

World financial leaders attending the Group of 20's summit in Pittsburgh have approved a greater voice for developing countries in Asia and Latin America, strengthening the G-20's role as the prime world forum for economic cooperation. That position formerly was held by the major industrialized nations known as the G-8. As VOA's Mil Arcega reports, this is an historic shift that recognizes the rising influence and importance of emerging economies.
