In her talk she discusses being biracial, sharing her personal experience about what it has been like to have parents from Kansas and Puerto Rico. When she’s not busy helping college students deal with their cultural identity, she can be found at home handling things for her three children.

Monica is Assistant Director of Multicultural Affairs at the University of Nebraska at Kearney where she also teaches a class “Who Do You Think You Are?: The Impact of Culture on Personal Identity Development.”
