DESCRIPTION:
The B3 Plus combination Bluetooth earpiece and fitness smart band isn’t perfect, but it’s getting close. It has one flaw, in my opinion, and that is no sensor when you remove or replace the main unit in the band shell. Because of this, when you have an incoming call you need to press the button on the side of the bracelet module to activate answering the phone. Likewise, the call doesn’t hand up when you insert the module back in the band. This is so basic I thought it was standard on devices like this, but apparently it is not.

If you can train yourself to activate and deactivate the device manually, which isn’t hard to do, you will be pleased at all the features this device offers. You have the full compliment of step count, sleep monitoring, and health readings for heart rate, blood pressure and blood oxygen, but the display is rather dim so don’t expect to see the results easily outside. The best feature, however, which I haven’t seen on these devices before, it the full integration with your watch’s contacts and call logs. It is easy to bring up one of you last few calls and initiate a return call right from your arm without ever touching your phone, as long as you are in Bluetooth range. Nice.

Another drawback, just like we have seen with other combo earbud/smartband units, you can’t control any aspect of the audio from the earpiece. Touching the time display doesn’t raise or lower volume or change tracks. Logically, the next generation should be able to offer some common features for audio control, but I haven’t found it on any devices like this yet. If you find any, please let me know and I’ll bring them in for review.
