FOR SALE: 1970 Chevelle SS 2 door hardtop showing just over 54,000 miles on the odometer 454 LS6 450 HP (Number Matching) Turbo 400 12 bolt posi Cranberry Red / black racing stripes cowl induction hood Power Steering Power front disc brakes Black vinyl Interior Bucket seats with center console 14 inch Rally Wheels 2 1/2 inch dual exhaust This unrestored 1970 Chevelle was built at the Baltimore, MD GM plant. It was sold new @ Myers Motors in Ottawa, Ontario Canada. It is sporting it's original number matching 454 cu. in. LS6 motor. But the number matching turbo 400 & 12 bolt are long gone. There is evidence that this Chevelle was drag raced back east as the home made front drive shaft loop is still there. The gearing currently is a 2:73, but the owner has another 12 bolt rear end with a 4:10 rear end that would go with it. The build sheet indicates that this Chevelle was ordered with a 4:10 posi. The car looks to have an older repaint and would be considered to be good driver quality. The interior is original and looks good for it's age. As you well know, the 1970 Chevelle LS6 is a truly iconic muscle car. To find one of these Chevelles in unrestored condition is rare indeed. You could buy and enjoy as is, or restore.
