আমানতকারীর কথা মাথায় রেখেই ফারমার্স ব্যাংককে আর্থিক সহায়তা দেয়া হচ্ছে বলে জানিয়েছে বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংক। তবে এর সাথে একমত নয় বেসরকারি গবেষণা সংস্থা-পলিসি রিসার্চ ইনস্টিটিউট। সংস্থাটি বলছে, ফারমার্স ব্যাংক বন্ধ হলে ব্যাংকিং খাতে কোনো ঝুঁকির সৃষ্টি হবে না। জনগণের টাকার অপচয় করে এটিকে বাঁচিয়ে রাখার কোনো যৌক্তিকতা নাই।
