Matt Giffin is a young artist quickly gaining recognition as a pianist and electronic musician. As a member of DPT, he and fellow graduates of the Humber Music Program (Toronto, Canada) perform a live remix of the music of Daft Punk which has stunned critics and fans alike. In his acoustic music, Matt strives to link the music of his upbringing in Nova Scotia to his acquired love of jazz.

In 2011 Matt has been featured live on CBC Radio 3 backing up Toronto Rap Hero D-Sissive, and is a cast member on the upcoming Global Television Series "Canada Sings". Matt also served as a producer on jazz guitarist Mikko Hilden's recent release "Nova Scotia" (Addo Records)

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)
