How can we open a door to a world where affordable healthcare is available to everyone. Caroline Hummels draws on her own experiences to give a passionate talk on how we can transform our society towards a smart environment of sustainable healthcare.

About Caroline Hummels
Caroline Hummels is intrigued by designing, studying and communicating about opportunities for people to change their lives and for society to transform, through aesthetic interaction with open and innovative systems and products. She pursues this quest in her function as professor at the department of Industrial Design at the Eindhoven University of Technology, as well as in her role as theme leader of Smart Environment, Health@TU/e. She is inspired by the unknown, she beliefs in the designerly ability to trust intuition, curiosity and complexity, and she beliefs in the power of making, preferably in the real life context with all stakeholders (yes ALL) involved.
