Back when we had a farm, we had a huge Belgian mare named Sandy. She hadn't seen a farrier in a long time. When we first got her I couldn't even touch her back legs, but with multiple daily groomings, she eventually let me pick up all her feet and clean them. Then we were able to get her feet properly trimmed. Spring 2008 in Crystal Falls, ON.
