Because the hunter cannons are extremely strong, we look up ways to protect our hunter cannon.  The problem is that a hunter cannon can one shot another hunter cannon through 1 layer of shields.  The artillery ship's reward is under the price of the hunter, making the fight a net loss.  I could try saving up for the Primal Hunters, but that might take awhile :P
